school-lunch-hero-dayHappy School Lunch Hero Day to all of our awesome blog followers out there!  Today is a very special day in our industry – a day that is set aside to recognize and congratulate those who work so hard day-in and day-out for our nation’s children. You all do truly fabulous work feeding the mouths and minds of our youth. We are so thankful to have such caring and compassionate people serving in our country’s school system! We’ve previously challenged nutrition departments to create funky, fun lip-dub videos that showcase their passion and love for their jobs. We received some wonderful submissions, which we are featuring below. Sit back and enjoy these great videos made by our School Lunch Heroes!

Irving ISD

Check out Irving ISD (Texas) in this awesome video set to the song “Heroes (We Could Be)” by Alesso featuring Tove Lo.

Chambersburg Area SD

Here’s a great submission from Chambersburg Area School District (Pennsylvania)! They’re getting down to the song “Treasure” by Bruno Mars!

Mesquite ISD

These Mesquite ISD (Texas) school nutrition employees sure know to cut a rug! They’re dancing it out to the classic hit “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor.

Additionally, we asked our School Lunch Heroes to send us pictures from their school districts that we could use in a special tribute. The list of those who shared their pictures with us is way too long to list here, so you will just have to watch the video! Thanks for letting us contribute to your success yesterday, today and tomorrow!

P.S. — In case you haven’t seen some of our own funky lip-dub videos yet, check out 2 of our most recent ones below!
